About The Game

In a world choked by ash and memory, where the last echoes of a fallen age linger like ghosts, The Oathbound follows a lone, forsaken warrior bound to a dying vow. The old world has long since crumbled, yet from its ruin the forgotten gods have risen—twisted by time, driven by a hunger to reclaim dominion over a realm that no longer remembers them. As kingdoms rot and the land itself withers under divine corruption, the warrior must carve a path through shattered realms, confronting both the remnants of humanity and the ascendant god-kin. Each victory brings them closer to the Withered Throne—an ancient seat of power said to command the fate of gods and mortals alike. But as truth unravels, it becomes clear: the throne does not grant salvation. It demands sacrifice. And the one who claims it may become the very curse they sought to end.

The Withered Throne

Once the seat of divine rule, the Withered Throne stands as a monument to a kingdom that refused to die. Kings did not merely reign from it—they were consumed by it. Now the Throne endures in ruin, blackened gold and split stone, its roots running deeper than any kingdom buried beneath. It is a symbol of authority, corruption, and false ascension. The last promise of a dead age: that power can outlast decay.

VORNHOLLOW

Vornhollow is a fallen world trapped in the long aftermath of its own ruin. Once a realm of sacred crowns, ancient vows, and divine ambition, it now endures as a land where death has lost its mercy and nothing is allowed to fully fade. Across Vornhollow, broken kingdoms, drowned forests, ash-choked valleys, and crumbling cathedrals stand as monuments to powers that sought eternity and became imprisoned by it. In The Oathbound, Vornhollow is the grave of empires—a world of haunting beauty, relentless decay, and ancient forces still waiting to claim what remains.

Rulers and Disasters

To the people of the dying world, the Ascended are both rulers and disasters. They do not simply command kingdoms or factions; they bend reality around their nature. A god of ash leaves behind endless cinders and zealous ruin. A god of thorns turns land and flesh into tangled offerings.

Imprisoned Essence

They were once mortal figures of immense significance. The lords, martyrs, conquerors, prophets, betrayers, but ascension did not free them. It imprisoned them inside their own essence. They represent the final stage of a broken age: divinity born from suffering, obsession, and the refusal to fade.
